When you ask people how to help bees, most people first think of flowering plants.
Lavender. Sunflowers. Wildflowers.
And thatβs true, they are important.
But one key point is often overlooked:
Especially during warm, dry periods, bees donβt just need nectar,
they also need water to survive.
And thatβs exactly where the problem begins.
Even gardens full of flowers often lack a safe place for bees to drink.
Puddles can be contaminated, deep bowls are often unsuitable, and smooth surfaces make landing difficult and risky.
So bees keep searching.
From gutter to stone.
From puddle to pavement.
Often without success.
